Pernahkah kamu mendengar tentang Desa Kersik?
Sebuah desa kecil di pesisir timur Kalimantan Timur, tepatnya di Kecamatan Marangkayu, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Pada tahun 2025 desa Kersik Resmi Menjadi Desa Wisata Berdasarkan Keputusan Bupati Kutai Kartanegara Nomor: 77/SK-BUP/HK/2025 tentang Penetapan Desa Wisata. Desa ini Terletak diantara kota Samarinda – kota Bontang dan kurang lebih 60 kilometer dari bandara udara Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto (AAP) Samarinda. Desa ini mungkin belum setenar Bali atau Raja Ampat, tapi siapa sangka—dari sinilah lahir cerita besar tentang semangat membangun dari bawah.
Lokasi Strategis, Potensi Alam Melimpah
Desa Kersik dianugerahi bentang alam pesisir yang luar biasa. Lautnya tenang, pantainya luas, dan yang paling menarik: semangat warganya hidup. Salah satu destinasi yang kini menjadi ikon desa adalah Pantai Biru Kersik tempat yang dulunya hanya dikenal oleh nelayan setempat, kini mulai ramai dikunjungi wisatawan lokal.
Dipimpin oleh Sosok yang Visioner
Transformasi ini tentu tidak terjadi begitu saja. Sosok di balik kemajuan Desa Kersik adalah Jumadi, kepala desa yang dikenal rendah hati dan pekerja keras. Di bawah kepemimpinannya, desa ini bergerak cepat—tapi tetap berpijak kuat pada nilai gotong royong dan kelestarian alam.
Jumadi punya visi yang unik: desa bukan hanya tempat tinggal, tapi bisa menjadi pusat perubahan. Maka ia pun merancang pembangunan desa yang menyentuh banyak sisi: lingkungan, ekonomi rakyat, wisata, dan teknologi.
Konservasi Alam yang Berdaya Guna
Salah satu gebrakan terbesar adalah pelestarian wilayah pesisir. Cemara udang ditanam untuk melindungi garis pantai. Mangrove dijaga, bahkan diperbanyak. Program “apartemen ikan” diciptakan untuk memperkaya kehidupan bawah laut, Program Bank Sampah. Semua dilakukan secara kolaboratif: antara warga, pemerintah, Universitas dan perusahaan.
Kerja keras ini membuahkan hasil nyata. Pada 2022, Desa Kersik mendapatkan Sertifikat ProKlim Utama dari Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan.
Dari Wisata Edukatif hingga Digitalisasi Desa
Selain pesona alam, Kersik juga unggul dalam pengembangan wisata edukatif. Famtrip yang diadakan pada 2023 memperkenalkan berbagai aktivitas seperti menanam mangrove, belajar menyelam, kuliner laut, dan kesenian lokal. Bahkan, pemuda desa kini mulai tersertifikasi sebagai pemandu wisata bawah laut—keren, kan?
Tidak hanya itu. Pelayanan publik pun mulai beralih ke digital. Website resmi desa diluncurkan agar warga bisa akses informasi dan layanan langsung dari ponsel mereka. Transparan, efisien, dan modern.
Produk Lokal yang Naik Kelas
Jumadi juga mendorong agar potensi ekonomi desa tumbuh mandiri. Ibu-ibu desa mengolah berbagai macam kuliner khas dan kerajinan tangan. Produk yang akan dipasarkan kepada pengunjung pantai maupun lewat media sosial (dll). Inilah desa yang benar-benar bergerak: dari bawah, oleh warganya sendiri.
